Pentax is on the verge of announcing a new mirrorless camera called the K-01. It’ll be a K-mount camera with the same 16.3MP sensor as the K-5, and will come with a crazy 40mm lens that’s less than 1cm thick (it looks more like a body cap). I must be missing something...
My understanding is exposure compensation instructs the camera to use longer/shorter shutter speeds and/or smaller/larger f-stop settings, depending on which way you pushed it.
I've also noticed that pictures here often show ISO, shutter, f-stop -- and also EV.
I'm trying to understand what EV there actually means. Am I correct to think it refers to exposure compensation?
If so, is it correct that these two pictures have identical exposures:
ISO 800, 1/60 sec, f/5.6, 0 EV ... How to read photo specs on photos posted here
