APUG.ORGAnyone can answer me. I am tempted to buy it, but I am wondering how much should I offer? In another words, what would be the max I should pay?
RANGEFINDER FORUMI've just picked up a cheap PETRI RACER via "the bay" It's not yet arrived but I was wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this camera?

RANGEFINDER FORUMJust wanted to share the camera performance and for those thinking of dev. their own C41 film . IT"S EASY . Just do it .
This is movie director Petri Kotwica for a story which told about the hard life of the guy.
As you might notice from the snow, I didn’t take this today. One reason why posting these have postponed is because of the first publishing right of the newspapers, magazines, firms and clients who have ordered these. I’m never completely sure when they do publish my work, so it’s impossible to post these immediately after the photo shoot. Which would be ideal as my workflow.
Anyway, here you go, my post #2 ...Petri Kotwica

RANGEFINDER FORUMI recently picked up a Petri Color 35 (in black no less) from fellow RFF member tigerphil for just the cost of shipping. He even thru in a Gordy strap and a skylight filter. Thanks tigerphil!
RANGEFINDER FORUMDe-lurking to post some notes about one of my favorite cameras.
CLASSIFIED ADSI am selling a cased minty 28mm F3.5 C.C. Auto lens for Petri Bayonet Mount. The sale includes the original lens caps and case. This lens is in excellent condition optically and mechanically with no problems at all that I can see. It appears unused. This is really a very nicely made Japanese wide from the era of the classic 35mm film SLR. If you collect or use Petri (or are even considering doing so) you will want this lens.Price: $40 plus shipping (Expires Mar 07, 2013)
APUG.ORGI am selling a Vivitar T4 adapter for Petri bayonet mount. The condition is excellent and it has seen little use. Not a particularly common item, and certainly of interest to the Petri SLR collector/user.
RANGEFINDER FORUMHello everyone from Italy, forgive my English!
RANGEFINDER FORUMI have a Petri 7s that has considerable haze inside! Looks to me like it near the rear lens. I can't figure out what kind of tool I need to unscrew the lens from the rear! I'm sure it must be a spanner of some time but where would I get such a tool? Also do I want to attempt it? The task might be to complicated for me! Anyone have ideas about doing such a thing?
RANGEFINDER FORUMAlthough not the best of both worlds, it's great fun to compare these cameras from the sixties, the fragile built Petri 7S from Japan against the cheaper alternative for the Retina, the Kodak Retinette 1b from Germany. The Retinette in fact is not a rangefinder, but is often seen with accessory rangefinder (Watameter), being the big difference between those two. And be mindful: It is the era of the rise of the Japanese and the downturn of the German camera industry.
RANGEFINDER FORUMPetri RFs go for very cheap on ebay, but really like their performance:
RANGEFINDER FORUMI got one of these models at a flea market for $20. The camera itself is in great shape. I have shot two rolls and love the feel, handling and weight of this camera. The one big problem is the old "cloudy/hazy' lens. So has anyone taken the lens apart on one of these cameras to clean them? If so how difficult is it or am I ressigned to spend $80 getting it cleaned. I downloaded a repair manual but it was not much help. Here are some images I got from the camera.
RANGEFINDER FORUMDoesnt have a bulb setting, any ideas on how to get the shutter to stay open so I can adjust for infinity? Petri Color35e
RANGEFINDER FORUMSo my brother gave me his Petri 7S 2.8 when he found out I collect old cameras. It included the telephoto and the wide angle attachment, and the viewfinder. I have used it and love the ergonomics and build quality, but the rangefinder seems to have slipped and is cocked at an angle; I believe it needs a good CLA.
