APUG.ORGI am using the Tetenal E6 3-bath kit with a Jobo CPE2plus for a few months now. My results are acceptable but shadows are generally too dense and details in low-light areas are becoming difficult to recover when scanning. This leads to my question: is there a way to reduce/control the contrast of a film during the E6 development process?
APUG.ORGHi all, I have a couple of quick questions:
APUG.ORGTetanal E6 has finally arrived at Freestyle Photo! For those who have not used it, I highly recommend it. Gives results as good as the Kodak chemisry, but easier to use. German engineered.
APUG.ORGIs anyone aware about contents of 1L C-41 and E-6 development kits from Tetenal? What I am interested in is to find out if:
APUG.ORGLast year I tried the Rollei Digibase C41 kit but the stab-bath left residue on the film- I couldn't solve that problem. So this year I thought I'd try again, now with the 'simpler' Tetenal 3-bath kit (Tetenal Colortec C-41 Rapid Negative 1 litre Kit).
RANGEFINDER FORUMDoes anyone know if TetenalC-41 Press Kit for Color Negative Film (Powder) has been discontinued? What is the alternatives if this is accurate? Unicolor?
APUG.ORGFor sale is one Kodak Professional Single Use E6 Kit, Cat# 107 7643. Exp Date 07-2011. I bought this kit from Calumet in November of 2010 for about $60 and haven't used it. It has been stored in my cool basement still sealed from the factory. Time to sell this to someone who will make better use of it than I will.
APUG.ORGI was looking into getting this kit. I read the pdf and one thing is sort of catching me off guard. If you buy the 1 pint kit it gives you a total of 472ml of liquid to work with at each stage. I use a patterson universal tank and I usually develop with 600ml of liquid. I believe the minimum is 500ml. I shoot 120 film.
APUG.ORGJust ordered an Arista 3 bath E-6 kit. What worries me is that there is no indication that it has any sort of preservative. Dont want my slides moldy and faded in 3 years. Anyone know if it is possible to use Kodaks E-6 final rinse, with the preservative Formalin in it, as a final step after running aristas bath kit with blix? Kodak Final Rinse usage with Arista 3 bath E6 kit
RANGEFINDER FORUMI've been using Tetenal 5 Gal C-41 kit and have been looking for the Kodak 6 step E6 kit, but it has been discontinued. Freestyle has a three step kit. Other vendors sell Tetenal, but some do not ship. In the U.S., what are our choices regarding E6 Kits. E6: Kit Selection .. Few Choices..
APUG.ORGApparently Kodak has discontinued the 5 liter single-use 6 bath E6 kit. Can anyone suggest a good quality replacement? I have heard that the 3 bath kits are not as good as the Kodak.
RANGEFINDER FORUMA couple of firsts,
RANGEFINDER FORUMJust got a newsletter from Freestyle with an announcement 'Tetenal Joins Forces With Freestyle To Expand Distribution'. They are going to distribute C-41, RA-4 and E-6 color chemical kits, as well as black and white film developers. This is great news, especially for home E-6 and C41 soupers. :D Yayy! Tetenal chemistry from Freestyle
APUG.ORGJust wanted to inform that when Tetenal Ultrafin starts looking like tea (somewhere between straw-yellow and dark brown), toss it, it's about to fail.
RANGEFINDER FORUMJust to get an idea, I was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to post a few images of 35mm films other than Fuji Neopan 400 and 1600 developed in Emofin ?
APUG.ORGAs part of an estate purchase I acquired about 15 boxes of this film developer, neatly packed in small plastic bottles or glass ampoules.
APUG.ORGI am new to colour processing - and processing in general. All goes well except I end up with splotches all over the dried film. What I do is take the negatives straight out of the Jobo tank after the Stabiliser stage, and let them hang to dry.
