well I picked up the Nikon 24 1.4, I already had the Nikon 14-24, (one of them will be going, not sure which one yet) and lately I've been considering adding a Zeiss lens to my lineup ( maybe the 50mm f2 MP). Has anyone seen a comparison of these two wide angle monsters? I already have the zoom, but I'm curious to see how the two compare at 24mm for overall image quality/sharpness/distortion. From other reviews I've seen I fully expect the 24 f1.4 to beat the pants off of the 24-70, but how about the UWA zoom?

1. Nikon 14-24mm 2.8. S/N: 23xxxx. The legend. Pristine condition, except for the lens cap, which has some scuffs. The lens has never been dropped, spends most of it's time stored in a spare camera bag, and is from a smoke/pet free home. Works perfectly. Comes with all original accessories, including box, manuals, caps, etc etc. I just don't end up using it enough to keep it around, but I can tell you that whenever I have used it, I've never been disappointed. $1399 shipped, you pay PayPal fees.

Hey there everyone!I've read Zeiss is brighter. But it also doesn't account for the mount that is offcenter. Supposedly the Leica accounts for this, and thus is more accurate.

I am getting ready to add either a 21mm or 25mm lens to my collection. I am leaning toward the 25 as I have a 15mm and the 24mm is one of my favorite focal lengths for my Nikon F. The next longest lens in my M mount battery is the 35 and I think the 28 would be too close.I know the Voigtlander lenses are f4 while the Zeiss are f2.8. However, I don't think that justifies prices almost 3 times as much for the Zeiss. And there is actually very little written on this board about the 21 and 24 mm ... 21/25 Voigtlander vs Zeiss
