fEE Error on nikon d7000, aperture ring is already locked

Hi All-
I am having trouble with my wife's d7000 and 50mm f/1.8 D nikon lens. Note that this combination has worked before.
The lens is set to f/22, with the aperture ring locked. When I put it on the camera the display shows 'fEE', which is supposed to be "Lens aperture ring is not set to minimum aperture" (which, it is). The DX 35mm lens works fine.
I also have a d90 body- and the 50mm lens works fine on that, as-is. I don't have any other "D" lenses laying around.
Any other ideas?

Hey everyone.
I needed a zoom lens so found a lens on eBay that is a Tamron 80-210 mm.
I put it in my Nikon D3000, and get the error code "lock lens aperture ring at minimum aperture (largest f/-number).
Well, I have it locked at 22 (I'm assuming when the little tab on the ring that adjusts that pops out and the ring can no longer move unless you press the tab in), and my camera still has the error.
It won't let me go into manual or aperture priority mode to change it. Just the error and won't allow ... Error FEE Lock lens aperture ring at minimum aperture

I was shooting outside during a typhoon (I know,,) and the camera (D700) got slightly wet. I towel dried it and continued shooting later on indoors. Soon afterward I noticed the fEE error coming up. After some checking, I found that this error shows up on any of my lenses with an aperture ring, however all of my G lenses are fine, no issues. I've cleaned the contacts on the camera and the lenses, but the problem persists.
And yes, I've checked the aperture ring lock.
Please, any advice?

I was recently given a 60mm f2.8 AF Micro Nikkor lens (http://www.nikonusa.com/Nikon-Products/Product/Camera-Lenses/1987/AF-Micro-NIKKOR-60mm-f%252F2.8D.html) by a family member, but when I attach it to my D90, I get an "fEE" error. Any idea what this error is and perhaps how to fix it? The lens is currently set to the following:
Aperture Ring to 32
focus switch to Full
focus ring to A

I have a 50 mm 1.4 AF D lens and a D90. The lens displays the FEE error message in the top LCD screen. A friend also had the D90 at my house and had the same issue. I have tried wiping clean the contacts but that did not help.
The lens works perfectly fine on a D2x I have.
My other Af-D primes work on the D90 (35 f/2, 85 F/1.8).
Any idea what is going on? I have searched the web and this lens should be compatible with the D90. "fee" error with Nikon 50 1.4 and D90

Hi,
I cannot get my D7000 to communicate with my AF lens, when I move the aperture switch off the "orange" or "locked" position, I get FEE.
Can the D7000 communicate with this AF lens?
(This happens in when the camera is in both Automatic mode and Aperture Priority).

Recently got 180/2.8D with D3s.
Lens working perfectly with aperture turned to f22 with the lock on.
When changing f-stop using aperture ring, FEE error message read from LCD.
Already select the lens as non-CPU lens but still has error.
Anyway to use the aperture ring as I used with film camera. FEE error with D3s & D-type lens

During our holiday in Costa Rica we received an error message CHA on our Nikon D90.
Back home we put that memory card in the computer to see the pictures, but the computer could not read the card.
On the camera we still received the error code CHA.
I have sent the memory card to a recovery company but they have sent me a message today that the memory chip is not responding in their recovery systems...
Most of our pics of the holiday are on this memory card of 8GB.

Well, SHOOT. I honestly don't believe this is a card issue as so many do because after looking into it more (googling) it appears several people have replaced cards only to have the error message happen again and more times than not the consensus is that a new camera is needed (not the card, not the lens). Apparently "evidence" of this is that one's forced to remove and then put back the battery just to get the camera functioning again (everything freezes to the extent that you can't even turn ... DARN it! D90 also getting the error CHA message :-(

Anyone heard of the CHA error on the D90. I just had this on my camera, it was just flashing in the display and camera refused to take a photo. I took the card out and put it back (after switching off camera) and it worked but reading on the web it seems to be a fairly common problem.
Some say its the memory card fault some say its the camera. I am using Sandisk cards and some say that is the problem....
I also heard one guy who had a D700 have it happen and lost all his images, But it seems in most ... CHA Error on D90 ?

Long time (5 years) reader of the site; first time post (registered yesterday).

Bought a new D90 from Amazon two months ago after a LONG time researching. This forum was instrumental in helping me with my decision.

As a long time user of electronic products I have very rarely had problems. I'm an Apple guy and have been through several iPods, Macbooks, audio equipment, etc. I felt safe with the D90 deciscion.

I encountered Error 70 on my Mk2 that totally locked up the body.
Removing battery, lens, date battery and CF card did not fix it
Waiting 20 min did not fix it.
But if I started the body in a custom setting (c1 or c2 or c3) without the lens it worked!
From this mode the body would not allow a reset of setings, so I manually adjusted as many settings as I could.
Then restart the body in CA mode without the lens or CF card, from there I performed a factory reset.
Now it's back to normal.... phew...
I'm posting ... 5d mk2 permanent Error 70 on power up- how I fixed it
